Our Pikorua is handcrafted in Hawke's Bay from our own porcelain clay recipe, hand-blended using New Zealand kaolin. It is finished with our own green glaze, developed through almost 40 glaze tests especially for these pieces. The glaze gathers deeply around the curves and recessed decoration and becomes lighter across the raised surfaces, beautifully emphasising the continuous flowing form.
Choose Dark Green or Light Green. Natural variations in the glaze are part of the character of the piece, making every Pikorua subtly different.
Approximately 22 cm tall x 12 cm wide. Supplied ready to hang with a natural-looking synthetic cord, suitable for indoor display or outdoors on a fence or sheltered patio.

After Jen stepped away from ceramics, Bright Side Ceramics, our ceramics brand here at Dee's Bees, acquired the collection so these distinctive New Zealand designs could continue to be made. Today we handcraft them in Hawke's Bay as part of our Land and Sea Collection.

International Orders and Bee Products
We send our beeswax candles, wraps, DIY blend, and polishes worldwide and have never had a problem with border restrictions.  Generally finished beeswax products are acceptable for import in most countries.
However, in some countries raw beeswax may not to be allowed in order to protect the health of their local bees. We get it. After all, Kev and Dee are beekeepers, first and foremost. On that basis, we opt to make our beeswax blocks and pellets available to New Zealand addresses only.Â
Some countries may have various border or import charges - please note that you will be responsible for any such charges.Â

What about packaging? Do you use plastic?
We're committed to eliminating plastic wherever we can - the clear bags our kits are packaged in are NOT plastic. They are genuine cellophane, made from vegetable cellulose and are fully biodegradable and home compostable.Â
And we're very happy to announce that the black courier bags we use are also NOT plastic! They are made from plants and are fully biodegradable, and home compostable. Â
Recently we've also introduced coloured courier bags which are made of recycled plastic and these can be re-recycled in your soft plastics.
