Rainbow Kiwis Cheese Bag

$24.00 NZD

We call this one our beeswax cheese bag, because we sized it to fit a standard 1 kg block of cheese, but it's so much more versatile than that!

Perfect for keeping your favorite breads and pastries fresh, or cradling your more delicate fruits and veges - berries, avocados, mushrooms and much more.

Beeswax Cheese Bag: 20 cm wide x 11 cm deep x 20 cm tall (8 in x 4.5 in x 8 in)

Beeswax bags do some of their best work in your fridge, allowing your food to breathe while protecting it at the same time, keeping it fresher and tastier for longer.

How to use: It's easy! Just fold down the top of the bag and press to seal with the warmth of your hands.

International Orders and Bee Products

We send our beeswax candles, wraps, DIY blend, and polishes  worldwide and have never had a problem with border restrictions.   Generally finished beeswax products are acceptable for import in most countries.

However, in some countries raw beeswax may not to be allowed in order to protect the health of their local bees.  We get it.  After all, Kev and  Dee are beekeepers, first and foremost.  On that basis, we opt to make our beeswax blocks and pellets available to New Zealand addresses only.

Some countries may have various border or import charges - please note that you will be responsible for any such charges.

What about packaging?  Do you use plastic?

We're committed to eliminating plastic wherever we can - the clear bags our kits are packaged in are NOT plastic.  They are genuine cellophane, made from vegetable cellulose and are fully biodegradable and home compostable.

And we're very happy to announce that the black courier bags we use are also NOT plastic!  They are made from plants and are fully biodegradable, and home compostable.

Recently we've also introduced coloured courier bags which are made of recycled plastic and these can be re-recycled in your soft plastics.

Good Things To Know

LilyBee Wraps and Bags are a natural, reusable and beautiful alternative to disposable plastic wrap and bags for food storage.

Made from cotton infused with our beeswax solution, Lilybee makes for an easy and fun step towards reducing single-use plastics in your home.

Lilybee also helps prevent food waste - because our wraps are breathable your food stays fresher for longer, protecting the planet and your wallet!

Bread keeps its crust while staying fresh and moist inside.   Cheese stays fresh without dried out edges, and without sweating.  Fruit and vegetables stay fresher for longer without shrivelling or going soggy.

Just four:  Cotton fabric, beeswax, coconut oil and tree resin.

Pure cotton fabrics are chosen for their quality and beautiful designs.   Pure New Zealand beeswax is sourced from ethical beekeeping friends who we built relationships with during our 15 years as  beekeepers.

Coconut oil is sourced from our neighbouring Pacific Island communities and refined here in New Zealand, and natural tree resin is also Pacific sourced.

At Dee's Bees and LilyBee, we’re dedicated to reducing waste and making sustainable choices. That's why we offer you the option to choose how your beeswax wraps are packaged.

If you're buying wraps for yourself, you might prefer to go packaging-free, or choose one item packaged (you're probably only going to read one, right?). This option lets you enjoy your wraps without any additional materials, making it an ideal choice for those committed to minimizing their environmental impact.

However, if you’re purchasing wraps as a gift, our eco-friendly packaging might be just what you need. Each wrap is enclosed in a clear bag that looks like plastic but is actually made from vegetable cellulose—a fully biodegradable and home-compostable material. This packaging not only keeps your wraps clean and hygienic but also allows the beautiful design to shine through.

Our packaging lasts about a year on the shop shelf, but once it’s in the soil, it breaks down in just a few weeks. And if you don’t have a compost bin, no worries—just bury it in your garden and let nature take care of the rest.

Whether you choose to go packaging-free or opt for our eco-friendly packaging, you’re making a positive choice for the planet. If you don't specify your preference, we will package each item just in case.
