Manuka Flowers and Love Heart (large) - Ceramic Wall Art

$42.00 NZD

A cheerful little piece of New Zealand-inspired wall art, filled with flowers and love.

This handcrafted porcelain heart features delicate mānuka flowers scattered across a glossy white background, with a larger bloom taking centre stage. Warm red and soft coral flowers are complemented by turquoise leaves and the handwritten word love, creating a fresh, colourful design that's lovely displayed on its own or as part of a collection.

We make each heart here in Hawke's Bay using our own porcelain clay recipe, blended with New Zealand kaolin. The heart is glazed in white before the mānuka artwork is applied using ceramic transfers made from our original designs. These aren't commercially available transfers - they're produced especially for our artwork - and the piece is then fired again to permanently fuse the decoration to the glaze.

At approximately 16 cm high x 13 cm wide, it's an easy piece to find a home for - in a kitchen, hallway, bedroom, living space or grouped with other favourite pieces on a gallery wall. A wire loop is permanently embedded into the back of the porcelain, ready for hanging.

Handcrafted by Bright Side Ceramics in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand.

About this design: The heart and mānuka flower motifs are original JS Ceramics designs by Jen in Te Puke. After Jen stepped away from ceramics, Bright Side Ceramics, our ceramics brand here at Dee's Bees, acquired the collection so these distinctive New Zealand designs could continue to be made. For this piece, Dee has created a new arrangement using Jen's original heart and floral elements, adding a new Bright Side Ceramics interpretation to the original artwork.
