Leather and Wood Conditioner

100% natural and food safe, our blend of beeswax and plant oils is perfect for bringing life back to both wood and leather, protecting and preserving them for years to come.

We've carefully selected plant oils to work with our beeswax, to give you a low-odour, long-lasting conditioner.   This product has a very soft honey scent which will fade quickly in use.  The oils will not go off, and as our conditioner contains no water it will not dry out in the tin.

To use:  Apply a thin layer to clean, dry leather or wood with a soft cloth.  Allow to penetrate, then buff to remove any excess.  Further layers can be applied if needed to bring items back to life, and occasional re-application will keep your wood and leather looking new for years.

Wood

Suitable for use on wooden bowls and utensils, cutting boards, butcher blocks, wooden furniture and more.

Wood takes a beating in daily use, especially in the kitchen with regular washing, which accelerates the wood drying out, becoming brittle and cracked.  Our leather and wood conditioner replaces the natural plant oils lost from the wood and adds a protective layer of beeswax to hold the oils in and restore the colour and beauty of your wood surfaces.

Note that the oils cannot penetrate varnished surfaces, so a wood polish will be more suitable for those pieces.

Leather

Suitable for use on leather clothing including motorcycle leathers, furniture and vehicle upholstery, footwear, saddlery and more.

Leather dries out over time, losing its natural oils and becomes stiff and prone to cracking, which in turn allows moisture and bacteria into the leather.   The natural plant oils in our conditioner feed your leather, restoring softness and flexibility and preventing cracking, while the beeswax adds structure and a protective layer to preserve the leather and protect it from the elements.

Note that restoring leather will often change its colour and darken it - the leather will have faded over time as it dried out and the colour will come back towards original.

Do not use on suede or brushed finish leathers.

International Orders and Bee Products

We send our beeswax candles, wraps, DIY blend, and polishes  worldwide and have never had a problem with border restrictions.   Generally finished beeswax products are acceptable for import in most countries.

However, in some countries raw beeswax may not to be allowed in order to protect the health of their local bees.  We get it.  After all, Kev and  Dee are beekeepers, first and foremost.  On that basis, we opt to make our beeswax blocks and pellets available to New Zealand addresses only.

Some countries may have various border or import charges - please note that you will be responsible for any such charges.

What about packaging?  Do you use plastic?

We're committed to eliminating plastic wherever we can - the clear bags our kits are packaged in are NOT plastic.  They are genuine cellophane, made from vegetable cellulose and are fully biodegradable and home compostable.

And we're very happy to announce that the black courier bags we use are also NOT plastic!  They are made from plants and are fully biodegradable, and home compostable.  And, a little oddly, they smell like fresh toast, or maybe popcorn!

Nah yeah it’s pretty good.

Bought this to use on my end grain cutting board, it’s pretty good, board looks and feels great, cutting is sublime, cuts on the surface are barely noticeable after application, would recommend for serious cooks.

Fab product

I cannot speak highly enough of this product. I have a water blasting business and I have been testing this product on outdoor furniture once it is dry. The colour difference is amazing. I'll let Dees Bees know how long it lasts for but it's now been on for 3 weeks and hasn't faded. Exciting game changer.

Awesome product!!!

I love this!! We live in Wanaka which is a really really dry climate and our 3 leather couches were looking terrible until I lathered them in Dees Bees. Even the teenagers could see and feel the difference.

Bees wax

Great product, use on our oak table, hoping it gives the table protection from sunlight that streams through the window. Time will tell😀
